Field of Application
AKEMI’s Graffiti-Remover is a cleaning agent for the removal of graffiti or simi-lar aerosol paints from façades, building, monuments etc. It is especially suit-able for all mineral bases such as natural and artificial stone, concrete, bricks, clinker, sand-lime bricks, plaster etc.
Instructions for Use
1. The surface must be dry.
2. The best working temperature lies between 10° - 30°C; direct sunshine should be avoided.
3. The product is to be evenly applied with a paint brush.
4. In order that the product can take effect it must remain on the graffiti for 10 – 15 minutes. The softened paint can then be washed off with hot water jet with a temperature of 120° - 140°C and a pressure of 20 bar. The water from rinsing must be collected and disposed of accordingly to the local au-thorities waste water regulations.
5. In particularly hard and stubborn cases a second treatment may be neces-sary. AKEMI’s Graffiti-Remover is then to be applies with a scrubbing brush with natural bristles, left for a longer period in order that the product can take effect and the washed off.
6. After cleaning it is recommendable to treat the surfaces with a coating of AKEMI’s Anti-Graffiti as a prophylactic measure against further defilement.
Special Hints:
This product acts in contact with painted surfaces aggressively and is not suit-able for the cleaning of wood (hazard of swelling) or plastics which react in con-tact with solvents. In uncertain cases tests should be carried out on an incon-spicuous place. The cleaning of vertical surfaces with steam jet should proceed from the bottom to the top because down-flowing water washes off the cleaner and can thus reduce the effect. On coarse surfaces with open pores (e.g. fine sandstone) traces of paint may remain despite intensive cleaning.
